The University of Tennessee College of Medicine Chattanooga's Department of Orthopaedic Surgery performed a novel repair technique for a chronic patellar tendon rupture in a young athletic male. They needed an illustrated figure to accompany surgical photos to lay out the complex use of multiple autografts harvested from different origins. Understanding the intricate suture system used to connect the quad to the quad tendon autograft via the patellar bone tunnel was a unique challenge with this piece.
